open in viewerConnecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) is a non-profit medical organization that specializes in children’s care. CCMC asked the MQP team to demonstrate the value of predictive analytics. The team developed a model that improved CCMC’s forecasting accuracy for 88% of their metrics, an inventory demand model that expanded COVID testing, and an optimization model for behavioral health staffing that could save $1mil+/year. Adopting the team's models has highlighted the potential impact of further predictive modeling and industrial engineering work at CCMC.
