Investigating the Transition of Traditional Media to New Media in China

open in viewerNew media is dominating traditional media because of advancements in digital technology. Using interviews with journalists and surveys from the public, this project sought to investigate the transformation of traditional media to new media in China, as well as the impact of the transformation on both the news industry and the audience. Our findings reveal that, while new media enabled unprecedented levels of communication and social interaction, traditional media still has its advantages in terms of news credibility.
