Awareness of breast cancer risk for Hodgkin's disease survivors

Public

Though breast cancer etiology remains uncertain, one risk factor proven to increase a woman's risk of developing breast cancer is mantle radiation treatment for Hodgkin's disease. To date, this population has been provided with little information regarding their increased risk. The goal of this project is to increase public awareness and ensure that this population understands their risk. This has been accomplished through design of a brochure and an informational article for mass-media discussing risk and prevention measures.
